Who is NOU?

This is an informational tool dedicated to the prevention of human trafficking, created for teachers and students. It can also be used by educational support specialists working in the field of human trafficking prevention.

Project challenges

1. Sensitive Content Handling
Addressing sensitive topics such as human trafficking in the app demands a careful approach to how content is presented and how users interact with it. It is crucial to maintain an appropriate, non-triggering, and supportive tone in the language, imagery, and overall user experience, ensuring it fosters safety and respect for those seeking information or assistance.

2. Gamification Balance
Achieving a balanced gamification approach is essential for the simulation game targeting teenagers. The game mechanics should be engaging and motivational while effectively imparting knowledge on safe job searching and trafficking risks. It's crucial to avoid any gamification elements that could undermine the seriousness of the topic.

3. Educational Content Clarity
Ensuring clarity in educational content is paramount. The app's resources should be thorough yet easy to grasp. Given the complexity of human trafficking information, the UI must logically structure content, employ straightforward language, and consider integrating multimedia such as videos or infographics to aid comprehension effectively.

4. User Support and Crisis Management
Integrating features for immediate assistance and crisis management is essential. This includes providing direct access to helplines or emergency contacts, as well as ensuring clear pathways for reporting suspicious activities or seeking help accessible from any section of the app. These design choices must prioritize the safety, education, and empowerment of users, reflecting a thoughtful and user-centered approach in every decision made.
